Hello, I’m Aidan Moore

I’m a 27-year-old Graphic Design student at University Centre St Helens. This is a website dedicated to showcasing a sample of the work that I’ve produced both as part of my University course, as well as work that I’ve produced outside of University.

This is actually my second time studying at University, I graduated back in 2016 with a degree in Computer Science and Forensic Science but found myself unsure when it came to pursuing a career in these subjects. I no longer felt enthusiastic about the subject areas I had chosen, so instead decided to gain employment outside of my degree’s subject area whilst seeking a career that I am genuinely passionate about.

Having established a strong interest in Graphic Design after studying it at GCSE and A Level, I have maintained it as an interest ever since. I have taught myself many skills and gained in-depth knowledge in the use of a variety of software and techniques, designing things for friends, family and for my own personal enjoyment. I now know that Graphic Design is the field that I want to pursue as a career and so I have embarked upon a degree to properly prepare myself for my new career.

My time at Tesco has provided excellent personal development, enabling me to develop many transferable skills and apply them in work situations. University helped develop my communication skills but a customer facing job has really built upon this, improving them immensely. I really enjoy teamwork and I’ve worked in most roles in the store, with many different teams of people, and have built an extensive knowledge of the store’s operations. I’m seen as a reliable member of the team who can solve problems, collaborate with others and someone people feel comfortable asking for help. I’ve become very proficient at my job, trusted by the store’s leadership and given a lot of autonomy on my department.
